GUIDELINES FOR A COMMISSIONED PAINTING
- No money down
- No deadline for completion
- Client provides their specifications: 1) height and width (image only - not framed dimensions; it is the responsibility of the Client to account for dimensions of any framing they provide); 2) horizontal or vertical or square format; 3) list of paintings that provide their (approximate) desired color scheme, subject, and/or composition
- For matters of clarity, an approximate cost is discussed
- ARTIST PAINTS WHATEVER HE WANTS TO PAINT IN ACCORDANCE WITH HIS INTERPRETATION OF SPECIFICATIONS GIVEN
- ARTIST PAINTS ON HIS SCHEDULE/TIME LINE
- If and when a piece is complete that might match Client’s specifications, digital images are sent
- If Client rejects the image, there are no regrets or hard feelings; the painting goes to a gallery
- If Client wants a second attempt the process begins again
- If Client wants to proceed with purchasing, all funds are sent to Artist
- Painting is shipped unframed; Artist pays packing, insurance, and shipping costs (within the contiguous 48 states)
- Client has 5 working days (from their date of delivery) to accept the piece
- If Client returns the painting, they are responsible for all return costs
- Once the piece is returned and received in good condition, Artist refunds all monies
